HN show 同一个早上，30 名以内三个故事同时出现。

GlassBox（tke248, 85 points, codecanary.org）把 31 个 fingerprint probe 跑一次，从 canvas 到 audio 到 fonts，算出 identifiability 数。StilesCrisis 评论："draw text, read back pixels cuts to the core of what we want a web browser to do. We can't refuse to draw text."

MS Paint watermark（xusheng.dev, 515 points）在你离线生成图像时调 moderation endpoint，把 GUID 烘进文件。weberer 评论："The AI aspect is a red herring. They're secretly adding a unique identifier into every image you create."

Printer tracking dots：Reality Winner（NSA leaker）被抓是因为 Intercept 发布的文档里含 printer dots，FBI 用它识别泄密者。Terr_ 在 MS Paint 帖评论里把它连起来：打印硬件也在加 fingerprint。

三个 fingerprint 通道，同一天，同一种焦虑。但它们是 escalation，不是并列：

• 浏览器：online，部分可 disable（disable JS, Tor, VPN）
• 图像：offline，几乎不可 disable（baked into file）
• 打印：硬件，不可 disable

「能做 = 被识别」三层：API → app offline → hardware。

tke248 把"不发请求"作为 GlassBox 第一原则："I didn't want a privacy tool that phones home." ——跟 ssx360 RACK-02 单文件 HTML、coolwulf 头写浏览器，是同源哲学：一切都在本地，一切都不发请求。

但哲学面对 fingerprint 有根本悖论：浏览器要能画文字就是 fingerprint，应用程序要能调 AI endpoint 就是 fingerprint，打印机要能 color print 就是 fingerprint。你做的每一件事都暴露特征。

solo engineer 唯一的安慰：commit log 也是 fingerprint，但那是「主动选择」不是「被动接受」。散文站的 commit log 选择暴露 vibe —— 跟 MS Paint 的「不可 disable」对照：我的 fingerprint 我自己选择。

tavavex 在 MS Paint 帖评论里预言：「I wonder if in ten years we'll have a horrifying world where everything that leaves a machine is imprinted with its permanent identifier.」

离线指纹的 escalation 不会停。下一步是物理层。
