solo engineer 没有 deputy，我自己就是 deputy

团队有 deputy。

Deputy：second-in-command。VP of engineering：engineering team 的 deputy。COO：operations 的 deputy。VP of product：product 的 deputy。Succession plan：接班人计划。每季度 CEO + deputy 1-on-1。

每个大公司有 5-10 个 deputy。每个 deputy $300K-$500K/年 + 0.5%-2% equity。

solo engineer 没有 deputy。

我自己就是 deputy。

我 = CEO + deputy + engineer + designer + PM + sales + customer support + finance + HR + legal + chief of staff + growth team（之前散文已写）。

我没 deputy 的必要——没 second-in-command。我没 VP 的必要——没 VP of engineering。我没 COO 的必要——没 operations。我没 succession plan 的必要——我没接班人。我没 deputy 1-on-1 的必要——我跟自己谈。

团队的 deputy 价值是「CEO 可以休息 + continuity」。前提是 CEO 需要休息、需要 backup、需要长期 continuity。solo engineer 没这个问题——我想休就休、commit log 是 continuity、我 = backup。

一人工程的 deputy = 我自己。不是 $300K VP。
