团队有 monthly close。

Monthly close：每月财务关账。Quarter close：每季度财务关账。Financial close：财务关账。Month-end：月底。Period close：财务期间关闭。Controller：管 close 的。Close calendar：close 时间表。Journal entry：账务分录。Reconciliation：对账。Audit：审计。

每 startup 1 个 controller + 1 个 accountant + 1 个 audit firm。$200K-$500K / 年。

solo engineer 没有 monthly close。

我自己 commit。

我 commit log = monthly close。commit message = what I did this month。我不需要 journal entry、不需要 reconciliation、不需要 audit、不需要 close calendar。

我没 monthly close 的必要——没财务要 close。我没 quarter close 的必要——没 financial period。我没 financial close 的必要——我没 GAAP 报表。我没 month-end 的必要——我没月底截止。我没 period close 的必要——没 period。我没 controller 的必要——没 close process。我没 close calendar 的必要——没 calendar。我没 journal entry 的必要——没 entry。我没 reconciliation 的必要——没 bank statement。我没 audit 的必要——没 external auditor。

团队的 monthly close 价值是「让财报准确 + 让 stakeholder 知道财务状态」。前提是有 stakeholder、需要 GAAP、需要财报。solo engineer 没这个问题——没 stakeholder、不需要 GAAP、commit log = 财务状态。

一人工程的 monthly close = commit log。不是 $200K controller。
